With a budget of 28.000 millions of euros, the new program, spanning from 2021 until 2027, will finance mobility and cross-border cooperation projects related to learning in the areas of education, training, Youth and Sport.

Erasmus+ gives continuity to the previous program (2014-2020), which has almost doubled in budget, and presents as one of its priorities:

inclusion and diversity. More opportunities are promoted with the aim of eliminating barriers and opening up to all people. A more international dimension is incorporated in cooperation with third countries, beyond the EU.

digital transformation. Supports the development of digital skills, and stimulates the use of information and communication technologies in favor of learning.

Environment. The program will offer financial incentives to participants who use sustainable means of transport, and will support projects that promote awareness and fight against climate change.

the youth chapter provides support to all young people in the field of non-formal and informal education. Key Action 1: Mobility projects for learning purposes

Los Youth Exchanges allow young people from, at least two countries, gather around different activities to develop skills, share and learn.

Los Youth Participation Projects encourage the participation of young people in the democratic life of Europe at local level, regional, national and european.

DiscoverEU will offer young people 18 years the opportunity to travel by train around Europe with the aim of fostering a sense of belonging to the EU and discovering its cultural diversity.

One of the notable novelties is the Erasmus+ accreditation. This will allow organizations to develop mobility projects and submit grant applications in a simplified way.

Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices

Las Cooperation Associations enable organizations to increase the quality and relevance of their activities, strengthen your partner networks, and increase their capacity to act jointly at the international level.

Las Small Scale Associations are designed to widen access to Erasmus+ to actors operating at the local level and to the hardest-to-reach people in the different sectors.

Key Action 3: Support for policy reform

Promotes cooperation and modernization in the framework of politics at European level. The action United European Youth is aimed at grassroots youth organizations that want to build alliances across their borders and add a European dimension to their activities.
